Emulating the Eagle

Eagles are strong of heart, responsible and stable. they soar. But soaring never just happens. Soaring is the result of a strong mental and physical effort. It requires clear thinking and a bold, confident, positive attitude. to soar we must embrace the eagle in our mind.
The pastor Chuck Swindoll once reflected that we live in a negative, hostile world that says the glass is half empty, not half full. Society only focuses on what's wrong instead of what is right; ugliness instead of beauty; destruction instead of construction; the impossible instead of possible; the hurt instead of the help; what we lack instead of what we have. our society seams engulfed in cynicism and mediocrity, where excellence is lost in the shuffle.

To break this cycle of cynicism, I believe that we should adopt the philosophy of "eagle excellence" to develop the steadfast character that gives a business, a family, and a nation its purpose and pride. To do this we should embrace the eagle in our mind.

The first step in this process is becoming a person of "eagle vision." The eagle, with visual cells eight times denser than a human's, can see a dime in 6 inches of glass from a height of 600 feet. The person with eagle vision can see the goal far off in the distance.

People of eagle vision see what others would miss. Eagle vision people have faith and positive attitudes, refusing to sink into cynicism and doubt. they believe in the long haul. They soar, because they are people of dreams. Dreams not desperation, move people and organizations to the highest level of performance.

One of the leser-known attributes of the eagle is  about the hope and the power and challenge of renewal. When the eagle's mighty wing feathers become heavy with dirt and oil and its beak becomes calcified and brittle, it retires to a cave or rock out of the reach of predators and experiences a time of renewal.

With it's great beak the mighty wing feathers are plucked one by one and then each claw is extracted. Finally the beak itself is smashed against the rock unti it, too, is gone. defenceless for a time, this magnificent metaphor patiently mends until its beak, talons, and feathers reemerge, larger, stronger, renewed, and restored, to climb to even greater heights than before.

So, in life and business, embracing the eagle in your mind means setting priorities and pursuing them with conviction and determination. it means understanding that choices determine how high you soar, and knowing that you are accountable for your actions.

Embracing the eagle in you mind means separeting the lasting from the temporary, the short term from the eternal, and is the quality that produces greatness.

I cannot think of a better way to pursue the eagle in your mind than embracing a life career in Networking.
